Maritime Loblolly Pine - Hardwood Forest – CEGL006040

Large willow oak (Quercus phellos) in a maritime loblolly pine-hardwood forest near the Rappahannock River in Belle Isle State Park, Lancaster County.  The lower portions of big-river estuaries near the Chesapeake Bay contain the westernmost stands of maritime forest in Virginia.
