Maritime Loblolly Pine - Hardwood Forest – CEGL006040

Loblolly pine (Pinus taeda) and southern red oak (Quercus falcata) in a maritime forest on back dunes at Savage Neck Dunes State Natural Area Preserve in Northampton County.  The herb layer consists primarily of vines - common greenbrier (Smilax rotundifolia) and muscadine grape (Muscadinia rotundifolia var. rotundifolia).
