Black cherry (Prunus serotina var. serotina), loblolly pine (Pinus taeda), and northern bayberry (Morella pensylvanica) are the principal species in a dry maritime forest near the eastern shore of the Chesapeake Bay.  Cape Charles State Natural Area Preserve, Northampton County.
