Maritime Live Oak Forest – CEGL007027
Live oak forest on the steep, bluff-like slope of White Hill subtending Broad Bay in First Landing State Park, City of Virginia Beach.  Although the dune habitat is very dry, constant humidity from the bay, along with overhanging live oak branches, provides a perfect habitat for Spanish moss (Tillandsia usneoides) to flourish.
