Black Cherry Xeric Dune Woodland < CEGL006319
The black cherry (Prunus serotina var. serotina) xeric dune woodland is a globally rare, Mid-Atlantic endemic which reaches its southern limits at two sites in northern Accomack County.  This stand is at the north end of Wallops Island behind Cow Gut Flat.  Wallops NASA Flight Facility.
