Sand Heather Dwarf Dune Scrub – CEGL003950

"Blow-outs" (storm-eroded areas) on xeric back dunes often support a dwarf shrubland dominated by sand heather (Hudsonia tomentosa).  False Cape State Park and Natural Area Preserve, City of Virginia Beach.
