Live Oak Dune Scrub – CEGL003833

Some of the mounded live oak (Quercus virginiana) shrubs in the False Cape dunes are more than 10 meters (30 ft) across and have buried trunks more than 30 cm (1 ft) in diameter.  False Cape State Park and Natural Area Preserve, City of Virginia Beach.
