Northern Blue Ridge Mafic Fen – CEGL006249

Dense clone of bluejoint (Calamagrostis canadensis var. canadensis) in a mafic fen at Big Meadows, Shenandoah National Park, Madison County.  This grass is a characteristic species of both the Northern Blue Ridge and Southern Blue Ridge mafic fens.
