Southern Blue Ridge Mafic Fen (Low Herb Type) – CEGL003917

A slightly drier mafic fen opening co-dominated by white colicroot (Aletris farinosa) and the state-rare hairy fimbry (Fimbristylis puberula).  The only known, extant population of hairy fimbry occurs at this site, on private land in The Glades region of Grayson County.
