Southern Blue Ridge Mafic Fen (Low Herb Type) – CEGL003917
A very diverse herbaceous opening in a mafic fen on private land in The Glades region of Grayson County.  Plants in this stand include white colicroot (Aletris farinosa), tuberous grass-pink (Calopogon tuberosus var. tuberosus), prickly bog sedge (Carex atlantica), tussock sedge (Carex stricta), short-leaf sneezeweed (Helenium brevifolium), royal fern (Osmunda spectabilis), Canada burnet (Sanguisorba canadensis), and twisted yellow-eyed grass (Xyris torta).
