Ridge and Valley Dolostone Woodland – CEGL006030

DCR-DNH Mountain Region Steward Ryan Klopf surveys a Ridge and Valley dolostone woodland overlooking the South Fork Roanoke River in eastern Montgomery County.  The Pedlar Hills, a series of dolostone knobs containing most of the world's occurrences of this community type, extend to the south in this view.  Pedlar Hills State Natural Area Preserve.
