Eastern indian paintbrush (Castilleja coccinea) flowers and emerging leaves of tall blazing star (Liatris aspera) brighten the early spring aspect of a dolostone barren along the Clinch River near Cleveland, Russell County.  Cleveland Barrens State Natural Area Preserve.
