Interdune Swale (Saltmeadow Cordgrass Brackish Type) – CEGL006342

A brackish interdune swale subject to frequent overwash and storm surges.  Saltmeadow cordgrass (Spartina patens) dominates low-diversity vegetation containing only seven species.  Near north end of Parramore Island State Natural Area Preserve in Accomack County.
