Interdune Swale / Pond (unclassified)

The same interdune pond shown in the previous photo, at the north end of False Cape State Park and Natural Area Preserve, City of Virginia Beach.  The pond is now fully drawn down and dry, and mature plants of dwarf umbrella-sedge (Fuirena pumila) cover the entire exposed bottom.
