Interdune Swale/Pond (unclassified)

A large, isolated, seasonally flooded interdune pond in the maritime forest near the north end of False Cape State Park and Natural Area Preserve, City of Virginia Beach.  The pond is only partly drawn down, and dwarf umbrella-sedge (Fuirena pumila) has become established on a few of the exposed areas.
