Silverling (Paronychia argyrocoma, in foreground) is a common associate of Greenland sandwort (Minuartia groenlandica) on the largest exposures of amphibolite near the summit of Buffalo Mountain, Floyd County.  Buffalo Mountain State Natural Area Preserve.
