Central Appalachian High-Elevation Heath Barren / Pavement - CEGL003939

The upper slopes and crests of Jack Mountain in northern Highland County support scattered occurrences of the Central Appalachian High-Elevation Heath Barren/Pavement community on massive sandstone outcrops.  This stand is on private land at Riven Rocks, elevation 4300 ft.
