A narrow, 12-acre band of scrubby, high-elevation, yellow birch (Betula alleghaniensis) - American mountain-ash (Sorbus americana) woodland occupies the upper NNW slope of Potts Mountain south of Jordan Mines in Allegheny County, at 3700-3800 ft elevation.  Eastern Divide Ranger District, George Washington & Jefferson National Forests.
