Water-Lily Floodplain Pool / Pond – CEGL002386

Floodplain pond with a dense stand of common spatterdock (Nuphar advena), in an old oxbow of the James River in Buckingham County.  Only a few other species, such as common rush (Juncus effusus) and swamp rose-mallow (Hibiscus moscheutos) occur along the edges of the habitat.  James River State Park.
