Central Appalachian / Piedmont White Pine - Oak Forest – CEGL008539

While widespread in the mountains, white pine - oak forests are quite local in the Piedmont.  This stand, in eastern Fluvanna County, is located in an area of the central Piedmont covering parts of several counties where white pine (Pinus strobus) is relatively common.
