Coastal Plain Calcareous Seepage Swamp – CEGL006413
Many of the ravine tributaries to the York River in York River State Park contain high-quality calcareous seepage swamps in their saturated bottoms.  This stand is located near the southern end of the park, east of Christensen's Corner in James City County. Dropping bulrush (Scirpus lineatus) and marsh fern (Thelypteris palustris var. pubescens) are abundant herbs in the foreground.
