Coastal Plain Calcareous Seepage Swamp – CEGL006413
Coastal Plain seepage swamps with highly calcareous soils and groundwater are rare, but scattered in areas where shell deposits or limesand are close to the surface. This is the northernmost known occurrence, along a tributary of the Corrotoman River northeast of Lancaster Courthouse, Lancaster County.
