Cattail sedge (Carex typhina) and other sedges under pin oak (Quercus palustris), willow oak (Quercus phellos), and sweetgum (Liquidambar styraciflua); the invasive introduced forb moneywort (Lysimachia nummularia) grows in the muddy channel.  Backswamp of the South Anna River, near Vontay in western Hanover County.
