Southern  Piedmont / Inner Coastal Plain Mixed Oak Floodplain Swamp – CEGL006498

The Southern Piedmont / Inner Coastal Plain Mixed Oak Floodplain Swamp is similar to the Northern Coastal Plain / Inner Piedmont Mixed Oak Floodplain Swamp and the Brownwater Low-Terrace Type of bottomland forest in southeastern Virginia.  The three types have compositional differences based on their geographic ranges, but can intergrade in some areas.
