Coastal Plain / Piedmont Floodplain Swamp (Green Ash - Red Maple Type) – CEGL006606

Although primarily a community of the Northern Coastal Plain, the Green Ash - Red Maple type of floodplain swamp extends locally into the eastern Piedmont.  This stand is in a back-floodplain slough of the Roanoke (Staunton) River, southeast of Clover in Halifax County.  John H.
