Northern Coastal Plain / Inner Piedmont Mixed Oak Floodplain Swamp – CEGL006605

The Northern Coastal Plain / Inner Piedmont Mixed Oak Floodplain Swamp is similar to the low-terrace bottomland forest of southeastern Virginia, but lacks many of the latter's characteristic southern species.  This stand occurs along the Mattaponi River northwest of Bowling Green in Caroline County.
