Coastal Plain Bottomland Forest (Brownwater High Terrace Type) – CEGL004678

A high, rarely flooded bottomland terrace along the Nottoway River. The mixed hardwood forest contains cherrybark oak (Quercus pagoda), shagbark hickory (Carya ovata), bitternut hickory (Carya cordiformis), and American beech (Fagus grandifolia). Chub Sandhill State Natural Area Preserve.
