Coastal Plain Bottomland Forest (Brownwater Low Terrace Type) < CEGL007397

A fairly mature, low-terrace bottomland hardwood swamp along the Nottoway River in Sussex County.  Large laurel oaks (Quercus laurifolia) and overcup oaks (Q. lyrata) co-dominate.  Chub Sandhill State Natural Area Preserve.
