Central Appalachian Shale Barren (Northern Type) – CEGL006288

A fairly typical shale barren with sparse herbs, on the west flank of Waonaze Peak looking down into Edinburg Gap, Massanutten Mountains, Shenandoah County.  Lee Ranger District, George Washington & Jefferson National Forests.
