Dr. Woodward Bousquet (Shenandoah University) examines wetland vegetation in the calcareous marsh at the headwaters of Long Marsh Branch near Gaylord, Clark County.  Most of this fen is shallowly inundated year-round, with deep, unstable peat soils.
