Ridge and Valley Calcareous Spring Marsh (Marsh Marigold Type) – CEGL006245

An extraordinary calcareous marsh, fed by artesian springs, along a tributary of Long Marsh Run near Gaylord, Clarke County.  This wetland is patch-dominated by beaked sedge (Carex utriculata), and contains several other species that are rare in Virginia.
