Fall aspect of grassland fen along Abrams Creek at western city limits of Winchester, Frederick County.  Willow-leaf aster (Symphyotrichum praealtum var. angustior) and autumn sneezeweed (Helenium autumnale) are common bloomers among common threesquare (Schoenoplectus pungens var. pungens) and other sedges.  Abrams Creek Wetland Preserve (City of Winchester).
