Bald Cypress - Mixed Tupelo Intermediate Swamp – CEGL007432

A drawn-down slough of the Nottoway River bottomland supporting a forest dominated  by swamp tupelo (Nyssa biflora) with scattered bald cypress (Taxodium distichum) and overcup oak (Quercus lyrata, foreground).  South of Peters Bridge in Sussex County, Chub Sandhill State Natural Area Preserve.
