An old bald cypress (Taxodium distichum) in an otherwise fairly young stand of swamp tupelo (Nyssa biflora); in a backswamp slough of the Nottoway River, south of Peters Bridge in Sussex County.  Chub Sandhill State Natural Area Preserve.
