DCR-DNH ecologist Gary Fleming with a massive, old water tupelo (Nyssa sylvatica) in the Blackwater River bottomland at Antioch Pines State Natural Area Preserve, Isle of Wight County.  Carolina ash (Fraxinus caroliniana) is leaning in the understory.
