Central Appalachian Pitch Pine Bog – CEGL007056

Interior Bog, a small pitch pine bog at the foot of Big Mountain in Stony Creek valley, Giles County.  The trees are charred and larger shrubs killed by a recent fire.  Eastern Divide Ranger District, George Washington & Jefferson National Forests.
