Piedmont Acidic Oak - Hickory Forest – CEGL008475

Old-age acidic oak-hickory forest on slope along the headwaters of Hog Branch in Appomattox County, Appomattox-Buckingham State Forest.  Some older trees in this stand have been aged by the Virginia Dept. of Forestry at over 220 years.
