DEQ and the Virginia Resource-Use Education Council are working with regional VAST and local groups interested in science and environmental education to conduct professional development that builds capacity for K-12 environmental literacy. Topics may include meaningful watershed education (MWEE), STEM or other standards-based environmental science. Grants ranging from $250 - $1,000 will be awarded; amount will be based on anticipated attendance.
