SWCD Summer Study SAG

The General Assembly recently passed budget language calling for... the Secretary of Natural Resources to convene a stakeholder group… to examine funding needs for administration and operation of the soil and water conservation districts (SWCDs) and the technical assistance they provide for implementation of agricultural best management practices. The group will make recommendations to the governor and chairs of the Senate Finance and the House Appropriations committees by Oct. 1, 2012.
