Veteran's Day is a day to remember all of our veterans and show our appreciation for the sacrifices they have made for our freedoms.  Come enjoy a day in the park and reflect on all that we have to be thankful for.

Stop by our Visitor Center and "Take a Walk on the Wild Side" with a self-guided walk through our educational classroom where you will learn all about the native animals, birds, reptiles, and fish that are native to Staunton River State Park.

You can also ask for a brochure for our tree identification hike, and enjoy a leisurely stroll on our River Bank Trail and learn about some of the common trees in the park, how to identify them, and what their wood is most commonly used for, ending in a scenic view of Buggs Island Lake.

We have plenty to offer for everyone, including picnic areas with charcoal grills, playgrounds for the children, and plenty of fishing access.  Come enjoy your Veteran's Day with us!
