Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

Bring your tent, lawn chairs, snacks, water, and binoculars for our second annual Sky Party that is part of our Great American Campout event at Natural Bridge State Park. You do not have to campout in order to join this free event.

In partnership with the Roanoke Astronomical Society, we will take advantage of the low number of lights around the park to view the countless stars in the night sky. Star talks begin at 9:00 p.m. Thank you to the Roanoke Astronomical Society for supplying the star viewing equipment and guidance to the night sky.
