Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

If you are signing up for the first time for one of the Virginia State Park Adventure programs, please start by entering your first and last name as well as an email address. This information will then be your login information to update your progress in these adventures.

Your privacy is important. DCR will not share your information with a third party. The information provided is used to track participants' progress and let them know of new challenges and adventures.

If you have signed up already, enter your information to log into your account. The first name, last name and email address you enter must exactly match what you originally entered into the system. If it doesn’t, the system will think you are creating a new account. If you’re prompted for a street address, you’ve started a new account. Please use the back button to exit and log in again. If you log in and your previous parks are missing, you have created a new account. Please email the address listed below so we can avoid mailing a first park Trail Quest pin.
