Enjoying our state park experience on horseback

Fond memories of riding our horses at Lake Anna State Park in Virginia

Me on Cali at Lake Anna State Park in Virginia

We use Lake Anna State Park for Horseback Riding all the time. It is peaceful, the trails are kept up and it is great for my horses. This park is only 25 minutes from my house and we always have an enjoyable time riding out there. -Glenna Tompkins

Where it all began

Where it all began where we wed at Chippokes State Park in Virginia

It started here on September 27, 2014 when my husband and I got married at Chippokes State Park. It was a beautiful day with family and friends. Wendell and I decided we wanted to visit all the same parks in Virginia.

Memories of exploring Virginia State Parks in all seasons

In the fall, my husband, stepson, and stayed at Fairy Stone State Park. The fall foliage was so beautiful!  We loved the rustic cabin. We searched the woods for fairy stones and found some. We walked around and found bear prints. We also watched a NASCAR race and witnessed Jeff Gordon win his last race.

We love to go to the parks in the winter. It was snowing as we entered James River State Park -April Jenkins
