Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

During the month of April, Virginia State Parks information, brochures, and special prizes will be available at Dave & Buster's Lynnhaven Mall location in Virginia Beach. Dave & Buster's Power Play coupons will be available at First Landing State Park and Kiptopeke State Park.

Save the Date

On Saturday, April 18th, Dave & Buster's will host Virginia State Parks during a special two-hour, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. event at the Lynnhaven Mall location. Dave & Buster's is giving $5 Power Play cards to the first 1,000 guests. Get there early--we will have fun & games in the parking lot, too!

The event will feature great door prizes from Dave & Buster's and Virginia State Parks, including a special door prize of a two-night camping stay at any Virginia State Park. That prize will be in the Giant Claw Machine from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on April 18, 2015. Let's see if you can grab it!  Dave & Buster's will be switching a variety of games to 'free play' so even everyone can have some fun!

Also, during the entire month of April, Dave & Buster's patrons can enter to win a special Virginia State Parks prize pack. Entry forms will be located in the prize room during the month of April. That prize pack includes a gift certificate for two to join in on a guided kayak trip on Back Bay at False Cape State Park, a gift certificate for a two-night camping stay, and some fun toys and games.  The winner for this prize pack will be announced on social media April 30, 2015. Look Ahead

With Spring Break right around the corner, head out to Dave & Buster's for a few hours of indoor games and great food and then head to Virginia State Parks for a few hours of hiking, biking, and outdoor play.  

All Virginia State Parks campgrounds are now open and the Virginia State Parks Customer Service Center takes reservations up to 11 months in advance by calling 1-800-933-PARK.  Plan your spring break, summer vacation, and fall outings at  Virginia State Parks.
