Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

Grab a Paddle and Let's Go!
If you've been waiting for the perfect time to kayak, this is it! In the early morning, the kayaks are all ready for folks to get out on the water at Holliday Lake State Park.
You can rent always one here at Holliday Lake State Park any day of the week. It's a great way to get out on the water, explore the lake, and watch for birds and other wildlife. A little splashing will keep you plenty cool.
Our friendly park staff will help you get everything ready to launch and even give you a quick lesson in paddling if you're a novice kayaker.
Pretty soon, you'll be out on the water enjoying the view. You'll want to tour around the lake and get to know it a little bit. The lake is alive with fish, birds, turtles, mammals, trees, flowers, even berries!
You might just find it relaxing and soothing. The water is calm and refreshing. You'll want to spend all day out there on the water.
You'll have so much, you will want to share the experience with a friend or two!
So next time you're looking for something fun to do, come out to Holliday Lake State Park and rent a kayak. The fees for 2016 are $8.00 for one hour and $15.00 for four hours. That's pretty reasonable for an adventure.
Our Boat House hours are 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays and 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on weekends and holidays. The last boat rental of the day is always 1 1/2 hours before closing time. For example, on a weekend you can rent a boat up until 5:30 p.m. for a one-hour rental.
Of course, you're more than welcome to bring your own kayak and use our lake from daylight until dusk any day of the year.
