Sky Meadows State Park invites creative souls to participate in our Fall Farm Days, Images of Sky Meadows Photo Contest and your photos could even win a prize.

Grand prize receives a Virginia State Park annual pass, and two runners up will each receive free camping for two nights at a Virginia State Park of your choice.

Sky Meadows State Park is one of the best places to relax and rejuvenate your body, mind, and soul.  What better way to relax than using your creative side? Come out to the park and see what inspires you. Sky Meadows provides the most beautiful views, and you provide the unique perspective.

Beginnings of fall at Sky Meadows State Park

We will kick off the contest on October 3rd and 4th with Photography Tricks and Tips sessions. Learn quick ways to improve your photo’s composition with the rule of thirds, balance, and more. These guides can help anyone no matter what kind of camera you carry on the trails.

The photography contest is just the beginning of all the great activities and programs offered at Sky Meadows State Park during Fall Farm Days. Fall Farm Days is each full weekend in October. Every weekend you can enjoy picking your own pumpkins, festive food, live music, a corn maze, and a children’s play area.  Plus, each weekend has a different theme with more fun activities. For a full listing of all the Fall Farm Days activities visit our website. There are so many wonderful activities that you can bring your family out every weekend for more chances to take that perfect picture, and win a prize.

Photographs must be taken at the park. You may enter as often as you like. All entries must be original, may not have won previous prizes and must not infringe on any third party rights. Reservation dates for the First Prizes are subject to availability.

Submission of entry constitutes entrant’s consent (or that of their parent/legal guardian should they be a minor) to allow Sky Meadows State Park, Virginia State Parks, Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation and Virginia Tourism use of images in future publications and advertising. The photographer must secure a model release from any other subject(s) or, in the case of a minor, the subject’s parents or legal guardian and provide it upon request.

Employees of the Department of Conservation and Recreation and members of their household may not enter this contest. While there are no age limits for this contest, if a winner of an overnight stay is under 18, they must assign an individual over 18 to receive the prize. We reserve the right to remove from the contest any photograph we deem to be offensive or inappropriate.
