Virginia State Parks (July 03, 2016 12:46:56 PM): Red Crane - We are building a full service campground now. The biggest issue is that we are waiting on VDOT to fix the intersection near the park that can't handle large vehicles like RVs and horse trailers.

Red crane (July 03, 2016 11:22:29 AM): Any RV sights at Powhatan State Park?

Greg Lumpkin (June 10, 2015 03:46:00 PM): I've hiked all the trails at Powhatan State Park. Love them!

In this article, it states "The campground is accessible only by canoe or kayak".

I know that the camp ground is a short walk from the parking lot near Shelter 3. Can I not park my car in the lot and walk my tent and other supplies back to the campground?
