Conservation Lands Ownership / Easement Mapping Form

Please print and complete this form and mail to the address below:

DCR is mapping the boundaries of Virginia properties protected by perpetual conservation easements held by conservation organizations. To achieve the goal of a comprehensive database, we must rely on Virginia's land trusts and conservation organizations to provide maps and information. This database is designed as a shared resource with a goal of promoting collaboration and more efficient conservation planning. If you'd like to add a property to the database we need the following information per land unit:

* A USGS topographic map (or a legible photocopied section, please don't enlarge or reduce maps) with an accurate delineation of the easement boundary. Please make delineations with a thin line using a standard pen (no markers) and label photocopies with the name of the USGS topographic map.

* A completed copy of this information form for each land parcel numbered to match the corresponding delineation on the map.

* If available, additional maps, including plat and survey maps, will allow us to make the most accurate representation possible for each property.
