Southern Appalachian High-Elevation Seep (Jewelweed - Scarlet Beebalm Type) - CEGL004293
A diverse, high-elevation woodland seep on the north slope of Elk Ridge in the Balsam Mountains of Smyth County. Mountain meadow-rue (Thalictrum clavatum), wood nettle (Laportea canadensis), lettuce saxifrage (Micranthes micranthidifolia), and American false-hellebore (Veratrum viride) are abundant species here.
