Central Appalachian Montane Oak - Hickory Forest (Acidic Type) - CEGL008516

A very diverse stand of montane oak - hickory forest with local patch-dominance by at least a dozen grasses and forbs.  On the upper south slope of Buffalo Mountain, Floyd County, below the summit at ca. 3700 ft.  elevation.  Buffalo Mountain State Natural Area Preserve.
